HAND FINGER AND FACE

TATTOO PRECAUTIONS

Let’s set you up for realistic expectations by going through the WHYs first!

  1. Frequently used/touched during the healing process
  2. Frequently exposed to water
  3. Exposed to UV rays more than most body parts
  4. Skin is more delicate and thin, has a higher cellular turnover rate and contains a larger amount of bone structure
  5. For feet, hands and fingers: they are prone to callouses which is difficult to penetrate and heal through

  1. Hand/finger/face tattoos can be life-altering body modifications
  2. They may affect your employment, family, religious or academic status and even travel
  3. You will be identifiable by your visible tattoos in the eyes of the law
  4. It hurts to get them removed.
  5. There is a higher risk for ink “falling out” or sometimes minor “blow-outs” due to the type of skin and high usage
  6. They require touch-ups or maintenance more frequently than a regular body tattoo
  1. Hand/finger/face tattoos are priced at slightly reduced rates
  2. Initial touch-up is subject to a set-up fee but is not included in the initial price
  3. Free touch-up only if you have a set-up for another tattoo already in progress (and covers up to an amount of the tattoo that is needed to be touched up: less than 20%)
  4. Touch-Ups for Flash Days do not include any touch-ups, they are subject to a studio minimum set-up fee, starting at $50.
  1. Keep saniderm/bandages on for full healing time, reapply as needed (3-5 days)
  2. Plan ahead and not participate in activities/work that involve wetting your hands a lot or using them for hard labour
